Here’s a quick and cute bunny project that is perfect for Easter or any gift giving occasion. Crochet Bunny Pockets work up in one piece and have a cute little pouch that is the perfect size for a gift card or fun size candies! This pattern is a simplified version of my Gingerbread Man Gift Card Holder that I made over the holidays. That pattern was such a huge hit, I knew I needed to do more with it!.
Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Perfect Pink, Pale Yellow, Pale Plum, and Aruba Sea + White for tail.

– Size H Crochet Hook
– Tapestry Needle
Bunny Pocket Pattern:
Note: pattern works from bottom up and pouch pocket is worked right into the pattern!
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 8 SC in ring, join, chain 1 (8 SC)
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (16 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next stitch, repeat around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 4-10: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 11: Chain 10, skip 10 stitches, join to 11th stitch in round with a SC, SC in remaining 13 stitches in round, join to first chain, chain 1 (the skipped stitches will be your pocket!)
Round 12: SC in each stitch around including each of the 10 chains, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 13: SC Decrease, SC in next 2 stitches, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 14: SC Decrease, SC in next stitch, repeat around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
Round 15: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 16-17: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 18: SC Decrease, SC in next 4, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 19: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 20: SC Decrease, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 21: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around, around, join, chain 1
Round 22: SC Decrease, SC in next, repeat around, join
Now lets make the ears.
Lay bunny flat so the remaining 6 stitches are pressed together and you will have 3 stitches to work in along the top.
Chain 10, SC in second chain from hook, HDC in next, DC in remaining chains, pinch together top of stitches and slip stitch to join into the first stitch, slip stitch into next (closing the top as you go), Chain 10 again and repeat ear pattern for second ear, slip stitch into last stitch to close it up. Weave in ends.
Bunny Tail:
Magic Ring, make a 6 stitch puff stitch, chain 1, slip stitch join to magic ring and pull tight creating a small little puff cottontail.

Super Cute Idea!!! Mine might be a bit bigger, more room for candy, because I mindlessly grabbed an I hook. I also used a continuous spiral, the ears were still in the same spot. Gotta run for more yarn to make one for GD1 as I’m out of her favorite color. LOL

Thank you for the pattern, I just made mine. But did not chain, I did in continues rounds, and with the chain ten I sc in the back bump so you dont see the little holes. I did slip stitch round the ears to help them stand up. Super cute!
Thank you so much for the adorable pattern. I just finished making a dozen for some of the littles in my life. Question…did you block your ears or do something else to them to get them to not curl? Every one of mine curled…I used different yarns. I am hoping that blocking them will at least straighten them a little.
Thanks so much for the pocket bunny pattern, just what I was looking for. I also turned the bottom half of the bunny into a wee basket with either a handle or bunny ears. Used up a lot of scrap yarn. To make the ears a little stiffer I rubbed some Elmer’s glue on them, seemed to work.

This pattern was very easy to follow! I made 4 little guys for the lil guys in my family. My niece is under 2, so I skipped the chain part. To make it a plushie piece. She she’s gets a lil stuffed peep! The others get candy! Made them in the car on a road trip. Too cute.

Thank you for the cute pattern. I have made three so far and plan on making more for my Grandnieces PK class. Just a suggestion, but it would be helpful to have the end row count after a decrease. Love, love, love this pattern. I knocked out 6 bunnies in a day. For the next round, I made a slight alteration. For the ears, I filled them out a little by making a chain less foundation row instead of chaining 10, of 7 DC, 1, hdc and 1 sc, then I followed the pattern back down to the head. I’ve found that they stand up a little better, particularly with lighter weight yarn. Thank you so much for the pattern! All my kiddos are going to love these ❤️
