Welcome home… to the finished House Blanket CAL!
What an incredible year it’s been. Month by month, we built a little crochet neighborhood together. From snowy rooftops in January to candy-coated gingerbread shingles in December. Seeing all twelve houses stitched together truly feels like wrapping up in a handmade neighborhood. Each square tells its own story, a little season, and a whole lot of handmade love.
Thank you to everyone who crocheted along with me this year… what a joyful journey it has been!
We began the year with the Winter House in January, followed by the sweet Love Birds Birdhouse for February, the Castle for March, and a classic Barn in April. In May we hit the road with the Camper, and then headed straight for sunshine with the Beach House in June. Summer continued with the Lighthouse in July, and in August we were back to school with the Schoolhouse square.
Fall brought the magical Treehouse in September and the spooky-fun Haunted House in October. In November, we went nostalgic with the Doghouse (Snoopy!), and wrapped up the year with the whimsical and colorful Gingerbread House in December.

And now… all twelve are joined together with an easy, clean method and topped off with the perfect picket fence border. I didn’t realize just how much this blanket needed that fence until I stitched it on — suddenly the whole project felt complete, like the houses had their own little neighborhood to live in.
The finished blanket measures a generous 55 inches wide by 72 inches tall, making it a stunning showpiece for your home, a snuggly winter blanket, or a meaningful gift.
And It’s reversible! The backside is a mirror image of the front!

If you are just now finding out about this CAL, don’t worry — you haven’t missed anything!

As we wrap up this project (and the year) I can’t help but feel the warmth and nostalgia of “celebrating home.” Whatever home looks like for you, wherever you find comfort, and however you wrap yourself in handmade goodness, I hope this blanket brings you a little extra warmth for the holidays.
Thank you for joining me on this year-long journey. Stay tuned for more Repeat Crafter Me CALs in 2026! I’m thinking of pivoting to smaller, shorter crochet-along projects next year. Still fun, still creative, and still something we can all enjoy together… just in a more bite-sized way.
Wishing you warmth, joy, and a very happy holiday season.

It was an interesting post, thanks for sharing.
What a heartwarming finish to the House Blanket CAL! The way each monthly square turns into its own little story — from winter rooftops to gingerbread shingles — makes the whole blanket feel like a year stitched into fabric. Seeing all twelve houses joined together with that perfect picket-fence border truly brings the “neighborhood” to life.
I especially love how flexible the project is: each square works beautifully on its own, whether turned into a pillow, tote, or wall hanging. And the idea of reversible C2C squares is such a bonus. Your wrap-up really captures the comfort and nostalgia of handmade projects, especially heading into the holidays. Looking forward to seeing what smaller CALs you design for 2026!

This finished House Blanket CAL is absolutely beautiful! I love how the entire project was broken down into monthly squares — it makes such a big, long-term goal feel manageable and enjoyable. Seeing all the individual pieces come together into one finished blanket is really satisfying and inspiring.
That step-by-step approach really connects with how people prefer to understand other complex things too, like financial calculations or work benefits. When something like an end-of-service benefit is explained clearly and calculated properly, it removes confusion and gives peace of mind — just like this CAL guided everyone through each stage of the blanket. Clear structure and simple breakdowns make a huge difference, no matter the topic.
Thank you for sharing the final result — it’s a great example of how consistency and good guidance lead to amazing outcomes!
What a cozy and satisfying project! I love how this house blanket pattern brings together both function and comfort — it’s exactly the kind of handmade touch that makes a home feel warm and personal. Projects like this remind me how important it is to plan things in advance, whether it’s crafting a blanket or managing real-life responsibilities like saving for future goals.
Planning ahead and knowing what to expect later — whether it’s finishing a blanket or calculating end-of-service benefits — can make a big difference in peace of mind.
