You would think that because I’m crafty, scrapbooking would come easy. Unfortunately it is quite the opposite. I love taking pictures of my family, but I’ve always dreaded the thought of having to create a photo album. The perfectionist in me wanted a flawless scrapbook. For years I’ve been putting this daunting task off and now suddenly my oldest is almost 5 and we have NOT ONE family album or completed baby book. Just as I was feeling like I failed my family, I discovered Project Life by Becky Higgins!
If you have never heard of Project Life, it is an incredibly simple memory-keeping system that saves you time and energy and leaves you with a stunning photo album!
No need to cut or glue because everything comes ready for you in each Project Life core kit. I chose the Honey Edition
along with the 12 X 12 Classic Faux Leather Binder in Cherry
. I loved the vibrant colors and adorable pre-designed title cards and journaling cards that came with this kit. It was like every card had the perfect pattern and message. It was so easy to find one that matched every photo and page. Here are some of my favorites:
You can choose from a variety of photo pocket pages that go into your binder. I preferred the Big Variety Pack 2 (60 Pages)
which came with pages to fit horizontal and vertical 4×6 photos. I used the smaller pockets on each page for a mixture of title cards/journaling cards and trimmed photos. So just to clarify you need 3 basic items to complete one album:
1. 12×12 Binder
2. Project Life® Core Kit
3. Big Pack of Photo Pocket Pages
