Yarn Valentine

Forget about the chocolate, this is one Valentine every crocheter and yarn lover wants! I would love to open up a box of yummy yarn colors over chocolate any day :) And since I've made a New Year's resolution to lose my baby weight, this is the perfect gift for me! I suppose I am giving this to myself but you guys can go right on ahead and forward this to your husband, boyfriend, or best friend as a little hint :)

All you need is an empty heart shaped box (mine is an empty Godiva chocolate box from Target and approx. 7"x7"), a set of Lion Brand Yarn Bonbons and mini muffin cups. If you aren't familiar with Bonbons, they are the cutest little miniature balls of yarn perfect for amigurumi, colorwork, embroidery, embellishments,  friendship bracelets and kids' crafts. They come in a set of 8. You can see all the Bonbon color options HERE.

Just open up your package (or two depending on size of your box) of Bonbon yarn and place each one in a muffin cup inside the box. Then you can use this "Hooked On You" printable for the top of the box and if you really want to impress your crocheter, tape a little crochet hook to the box as well.

  1. What can you make with those little yarns? They are adorable! I have seen them before but no clue what to make with them.

    2. I have a pattern book for knitted Barbie clothes. Depending on the gauge of the yarn I think it would work great for that.

  10. Darling idea!!! I did something similar for Christmas one year. My kids and I made Christmas ornaments for gifts one year and used the Whitman's Sampler boxes and the little paper wrap/cups to present what we then called The Williams Sampler.
