Love this project! I am currently making it (finished the front and back, am doing the neck now) and I am looking at yours- did you change the ‘ribbing’? I am finding it quite tedious and when I look closely at yours, it looks like more than the slip stitches in the pattern.
    Thanks!

Me, too! Worked it out on paper and following directions as written (also doing size four) leaves me with SEVENTEEN stitches, not 18! It’s impossible to end up with 18 if you do row 4 as row 2. You get another decrease! Anyone figured out what to do? I’m an experienced crocheter and this has me stumped. Do I go with 17 or finagle to make it 18? Help!!!

Did you figure out the back? I’m stuck with it because there’s no neck shaping and the neck area won’t be big enough to go over a head.

I am wondering if you can help me. I have watched the tutorial and read the pattern. When I get to the back panel by the neck the space for the ne k actually looks really small and their are no “shoulder” part to the child’s poncho only the dolls! Am I reading that right? Any suggestions about the neck or does it change once the collar is on! Thank you so much.

I’m having the same issue! Did you figure it out? I added a couple more shoulder rows to the front to make the round neck opening bigger, but am also wondering if I should do something on the back – similar to the back of the doll pattern to make the space bigger.
