Crochet Santa Apron

September 15, 2019

The Crochet Santa Apron the 3rd apron in my Kids Christmas Crochet Apron series! I have one more design to show you after this. These patterns are super simple and of course you can add any kind of embellishments of your choosing. Feel free to make bigger or smaller by adjusting the starting chain and adding rows. The rich yarn colors from the Bernat Super Value line are perfect for these aprons! You could also choose to use cotton yarn like Lily Sugar’n Cream.

Materials:
– Bernat Super Value yarn in Berry Red, Black, and White (one skein of each). You will need a bit of Bright Yellow for the buckle. Shop yarn at Yarnspirations.com!
– Size H Crochet Hook

– Tapestry Needle

Size: Apron is approximately 17 inches wide and 17 inches tall (not including the neck strap)

Apron Pattern:

Buckle:
With yellow yarn
Magic Ring, Chain 1 and make 4 SC, SC + Chain 2 + SC in next (this makes a corner), 4 SC, SC + Chain 2 + SC, 4 SC, SC + Chain 2 + SC, 4 SC, SC + Chain 2 + SC, join, don’t pull tight so it leaves an opening.

Try highlighting what you want to print, right click on the text and then choose print. That worked for me.

Sarah, thank you! In my spare time, I teach middle school knitting classes, and it was a big task for me to come up with an assignment for my kids for New Year’s break, but you were a big help as always. Your articles inspire me.
I wish you all a good New Year’s Eve!
