Crochet Snowman Pocket Pouches

If you’re a fan of my crochet pockets, I have a another one that you can easily work up for the season! This snowman pocket pouch is a slight modification of the bunny pockets and the same body pattern as the turkey pockets! Big thank you to fellow crocheter Lauren for posting this idea on my Repeat Crafter Me FB page!

Below is Lauren’s version and I love that white sparkle yarn!

Materials:
– Red Heart Super Saver in white
– Scrap yarn in any color for the scarf
– Size H Crochet Hook
– 5 small black safety eyes HERE on Amazon
– Carrot nose button for nose HERE on Amazon

Snowman Body:
with white yarn
Note: pattern works from bottom up and pouch pocket is worked right into the pattern!
Magic Ring, chain 1 and make 8 SC in ring, join, chain 1 (8 SC)
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (16 SC)
Round 3: 2 SC in first stitch, SC in next stitch, repeat around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 4-10: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 11: Chain 10, skip 10 stitches, join to 11th stitch in round with a SC, SC in remaining 13 stitches in round, join to first chain, chain 1 (the skipped stitches will be your pocket!)
Round 12: SC in each stitch around including each of the 10 chains, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 13: SC Decrease, SC in next 2 stitches, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 14: SC Decrease, SC in next stitch, repeat around, join, chain 1 (12 SC)
Round 15: 2 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 16-17: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (24 SC)
Round 18: SC Decrease, SC in next 4, repeat around, join, chain 1 
Round 19: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1
Round 20: SC Decrease, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1
Round 21: SC Decrease, SC in next 2, repeat around, around, join, chain 1
Round 22: SC Decrease, SC in next, repeat around, join
Round 23: SC Decrease until top of head is closed.

Add black safety eyes between rows 19 and 20, about 2 stitches apart.

Add 3 black safety eyes down the middle of the body

Add carrot nose button to face. Feel free to stitch on a nose with a bit of orange yarn and tapestry needle.

Scarf:
with blue or red yarn (or any color you want the scarf to be)
Chain 40, fasten off and tie around neck of snowman.

  18. Just as a suggestion, it’d be really nice if you could post the metric sizes of the hooks used for projects. My hooks are not lettered, and I have to go load up another page every time to find out which hook I need, which is kind of annoying when I’m using my limited amount of data, and I’m sure other people probably have the same issue as well.
