You all loved my Hearts in a Row Hat so much, I thought I would try and a design a Shamrock version! This one isn’t quite as simple as the heart beanie but it still uses the same technique of stitching the shamrocks right into the middle stripe of the hat!
Working from the top down and made of simple stitches, you will have a several of these made in no time at all! I am using Red Heart with Love Yarn in colors Lettuce, Evergreen, and Eggshell. This yarn is super soft and you can alternate the colors for multiple hats.

RIBBED BORDER:
Please be sure and watch THIS TUTORIAL from my friend Daisy Farm Crafts on how to make a single crochet ribbed border. I love this technique because you don’t need to sew the ribbing on separately, it is crochet right onto the edge of the hat! It’s basically a chain 7 (or however long/short your want your ribbed border – I went with a chain of 5 or 6 for these hats pictured), SC in each chain until you get back to the hat edge, slip stitch in two stitches along the hat edge and then SC in the back loops of the ribbing and repeat. She has a VERY easy tutorial to follow and you can use this border on many different projects.
When you’ve finished the ribbed border along the edge of the hat you can slip stitch the seam together.
A couple more things to note before we get started:
1. This beanie fits more like a slouchy hat. You can eliminate the bottom ribbed border edge to make the hat shorter for a snugger fit.
2. I switched to a size G hook for the shamrock row because I wanted them a bit smaller but you can continue to use an H hook if that is easier.
3. If your shamrocks are curling up, leave a long strand of yarn at the end of your shamrock row and use it stitch the shamrocks down as you weave in your ends. You can pick a few spots to just secure the leaves or stem if it is bothering you.

This crochet hat pattern is adorable! As someone who enjoys both crafting and maintaining good health, I can’t help but think about the importance of Vitamin B12 in our daily lives. Just like how each stitch in this hat comes together to create something beautiful, our bodies rely on Vitamin B12 to keep everything running smoothly.
Vitamin B12 plays a crucial role in maintaining nerve function, producing DNA, and forming red blood cells. It’s also essential for maintaining healthy brain function and a strong immune system. However, Vitamin B12 deficiency is common, especially among older adults and vegetarians/vegans, making it important to ensure we’re getting enough of this vital nutrient.
One convenient way to supplement Vitamin B12 is with liquid drops. These drops are easy to take and can be quickly absorbed by the body, ensuring that we’re getting the necessary amount of Vitamin B12 to support our health. So, as you crochet this cute hat, don’t forget to also take care of your health by ensuring you’re getting enough Vitamin B12!
