With ONE square and a few folds, you can create a big festive tree measuring 8×12 inches that would work beautifully for a wall hanging or door decor. Or maybe an oversized ornament for your tree or garland for your mantel.
Bernat All-In-One Blanket Granny is easy to use and handles your color changes, removing the complication of switching between yarns and reducing the number of ends so you can focus on your crafting without distractions. Each ball makes four granny squares, with five balls making a full-sized blanket, allowing you to stitch up your next statement piece in no time at all.

Once you make the Granny Square, fold it two of the sides inward so they are touching and the bottom flap up so it’s a triangle shape.
Stitch up the back using the loose end. Make a loop at the top if you want to hang it!
The Tree Trunk:
Using Bernat Blanket Yarn in brown, to add a trunk to the bottom of the tree.
Insert hook at bottom space, chain 3 + 3 DC + chain 3 and join to same space. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Tiny Crochet Star:
Using worsted weight yarn and size H crochet hook, crochet a tiny star for the top of your tree!
Magic Ring, chain 2, *SC in second chain, join to magic ring loop with a slip stitch, chain 2 and repeat from * until you have 5 “points.” Pull ring tight and fasten off. Stitch onto top of tree.
OR sew on a star button if you have one!
