Each blanket features bright, cheerful stripes paired with a creamy white base, creating the perfect canvas for a name embellishment. Using the Crochet Alphabet pattern from Yarnspirations.com, I stitched “Julian” and “Gigi” into the bottom corner of each blanket. These 2” high letters are just the right size for customizing everything from blankets to stockings, bags, and more!

You may notice that I also used lower case letters, but the patterns shown are only upper case. I assure you that once you make a few of the letters, you will see that you can easily manipulate them to make them lower case. For instance, the “u” can have less chains on the top to make it smaller, the lower case “g” is just a long chain of 20 with SC stitches and then curved as I stitched it down.
The pattern uses very basic techniques (single crochet, chain, and slip stitch) making it fast, fun, and beginner-friendly. Whether you want to monogram a baby blanket, add a message to a holiday gift, or simply personalize your projects, these crochet letters are a go-to.

Julian’s blanket has a starting chain of 101 and Gigi’s blanket has starting chain of 81. You will not need more than one skein of Bitty Stripes yarn for either blanket!
Blue Blanket: Measures about 33 x 26 inches and is 112 rows tall with a single crochet border of 5 rounds.
Pink Blanket: Measures about 30 x 24 inches and is 96 rows tall with a single crochet border of 5 rounds.
