Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival Recap

May 4, 2026

What an incredible trip to Chicago (okay… really Rosemont) for the Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival!

This was a brand new, consumer-focused show put on by h+h americas and it was a hit! From the moment the doors opened, the energy was amazing. Makers, crocheters, knitters, and yarn lovers filled the space, and it truly felt like a celebration of the creative community. The other side of showroom floor had so much for quilters, needlepoint, embroidery, sewing, and more.

Representing Yarnspirations

I’m so grateful to the Yarnspirations team for having me at their booth all weekend. It is always such an honor to represent them as one of their Stitch Ambassadors, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park with their display this year.

The booth was full of inspiration, color, and so many fun samples featuring yarns from Red Heart, Bernat, and Caron. I’ll be linking to some of the featured projects below so you can explore them, too!

Check out the up close picture of the wallpaper on the fireplace! The Yarnspirations design team went above and beyond with all the details.

Stitching, Chatting, and So Much Inspiration

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was simply getting to sit, stitch, and chat. Daisy Farm Crafts, The Knotty Boss, and I were sitting by the faux fireplace all weekend stitching and chatting with everyone who came by to visit. We had a ton of new yarns from Red Heart and Bernat available to take and test out.

There’s something really special about being surrounded by people who “get it.” The excitement over yarn, the joy of a finished project, and the creativity that flows when we’re all together.

Meeting You in Real Life

Hands down, the best part of the entire weekend was meeting so many of YOU.

It truly means the world to see your projects in person especially when they’re made from my patterns! I saw so many amazing creations, including:

  • Animal Square Blankets >>> Get the Animal Square CAL HERE <<<
  • Gnomes >>> Get the Gnome Family of Five Pattern HERE <<<
  • Sunrise Sweater >>> Get the Sunrise Sweater Pattern HERE <<<
  • Red Heart All-in-One Yarns >>> Shop them HERE on Yarnspirations.com <<<

You’ve all been busy, and your work is incredible! I wish I had taken more pictures!

A Fun “Twinning” Moment

One of the highlights for me was meeting Lisa from Yarn Nerds. She was actually stitching up my Sunrise Sweater pattern while we were sitting together at the show! I wore my Sunrise Sweater made with Bernat Blanket Ethereal Stripes for the first two days and it was such a fun conversation piece.

I loved seeing Lisa’s coming together in real time. And when she was done we had a the best pictures of us twinning! The pattern worked up so quickly and it looks great on everyone!

Head over to YarnNerds.com and give Lisa some love!

Book Signing

I also had the opportunity to do a book signing for my book, Crochet Cute Forest Friends. Huge thank you to Yarnspirations for making that happen! They hosted several giveaways throughout the show featuring a bundle of books, including mine, along with books from Daisy Farm Crafts and The Knotty Boss. Such a fun way to celebrate the crochet community and share even more inspiration!

So Grateful for This Community

I also got to spend quality time with so many of my fellow designer friends. Something that doesn’t happen nearly often enough. These weekends always leave me feeling inspired, recharged, and so thankful to be part of this creative space.

Between the conversations, the connections, and the creativity, this weekend was truly one to remember.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, shared your projects, or simply followed along online. I appreciate you more than you know.

I hope to be back at the Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival next year! Keep an eye on their website for more dates and events >>> Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival Website <<<
