I got a sneak peek of a brand new yarn at the Yarnspirations booth during the Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival and let me tell you… we were ALL instantly obsessed
>>> Bitty Stripes Firework Yarn <<<
This new Red Heart Super Saver Bitty Stripes colorway called Firework stopped everyone in their tracks. It was actually the only yarn they were selling at the booth as a show special, and you better believe it didn’t last long!

While chatting with a fellow crocheter at the booth, she asked me:
“What can I make with just one skein?”
Challenge accepted.
After thinking on it for a bit, I had the perfect idea…
A Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Crochet Bear!
And the best part?
You can make TWO bears from just ONE skein!

About the Yarn
This new Bitty Stripes Firework colorway is everything you want for summer stitching. Bold reds, bright blues, and soft neutrals that stripe up beautifully without any color changes.

It truly does all the work for you!
You’ll notice how the stripes naturally shift across the body, arms, and legs, making each bear completely unique. No two will look exactly the same, and that’s part of the magic ✨
This yarn is coming soon to Yarnspirations!

One Skein = TWO Bears!
I love a project that stretches your yarn, and this one really delivers.
With just one skein of Bitty Stripes, you can crochet two full bears! This is a great optno for quick gifts, craft fairs, 4th of July summer projects and stash-friendly stitching.
Design Details
This pattern is designed to be simple and beginner-friendly:
- The head and body are worked in one piece
- Minimal sewing required – just pinch the feet and arms closed before stitching onto body
- Classic amigurumi shaping
- Let the yarn do the colorwork. No switching yarn needed!
I kept the shape nice and classic so the real star of the show is that gorgeous striping.
Not Just for the 4th of July
While the Firework colorway is perfect for patriotic projects and summer celebrations, this pattern works beautifully with any of the Bitty Stripes colorways.
