While picking up some yarn at Michaels yesterday, I saw these Sentence Strips on an end aisle for only $1.00. I assume these are used in classrooms for teaching kids how to write or as bulletin board decoration, but I had another idea for them. Race tracks!
So when we got home, I brought out the painters tape and started taping them down to our wood floor. The start (and finish) line began in the hallway by our front door, and the track looped around our kitchen table, through a chair tunnel and then back to where it started.
The Start/Finish Line:
The Track:
10 cars and the boys want the same one:
Chair Tunnel:
It's amazing that a $1.00 worth of supplies and a little creative thinking made for hours of fun!

What a fun and creative idea! Megan
