Crochet Fox Lovey Blanket

February 18, 2015

I had the urge to make another lovey blanket and with a little help from my Facebook Friends I started on the much requested Fox! This popular and trendy woodland creature is my 7th lovey blanket pattern and it just might be one of my top two favorites! After a lot of searching online and at my local craft stores, I finally found the fox fleece fabric at Jo-Ann’s. Hoping you guys have more luck than I did! Enjoy the pattern!

Materials:
– Fox fleece fabric (found at Jo-Ann’s). I purchased a half yard which is more than enough for one. My blanket is about 12 inches long by 10 inches wide (at widest point)
– Worsted weight yarn. I used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in terracotta orange, black, and white
– Size H Crochet Hook
– Rotary Cutter and Skip Stitch Blade:
I purchased my skip stitch blade from the Project Linus website but unfortunately it looks like it is no longer available there. You can find the same one HERE on the Skip-Stitch website. I have the “original skip stitch blade” (Blade #1) and you will need a Fiskars 45mm Contour Rotary Cutter which I purchased from Amazon.

– Darice Animal Safety Noses 18mm

– Darice Solid Black Safety Eyes 9mm
– Poly-fil stuffing
– Stitch marker
– Tapestry needle

Now that you have all of your pieces complete, you might want to lay them out (especial the head pieces) to see where you want everything to fit. Sew the white cheeks onto the head. THEN snap your safety eyes and nose into place.

Stuff lightly with poly-fil stuffing and sew shut. In fact, at this point you will want to stuff ALL of your pieces lightly and sew them shut with your tapestry needle.
Attach ears to top of head (make note that both pieces were sewn shut first then attached together)

Cut your fleece fabric into the shape you want with scissors then take your skip stitch blade and rotary cutter and perforate your fleece at least 1 inch from each edge. Skip stitch blade creates the holes you will crochet into.
Now starting at any point, attach yarn and crochet along all edges of the fleece fabric using the holes made by your skip stitch blade. You will SC + chain 1 in each hole.
This is what the front should look like
This is what the back should look like. Notice how the fleece edge folds over in the back.
Now it’s time to attach the head, tail, and limbs!
I think this cute little fox lovey is gender neutral but I couldn’t resist adding a small crochet flower to the head. And it matches the fabric!
Small Crochet Flower Pattern:
Magic ring, chain 1 and make 5 HDC in ring, join
Rd 2: Chain 2 + HDC + Chain 2 in each stitch around (5 petals)
Fasten off and sew button into the center.

I accept it. I accept a weakness for top superior ties. I abhor seeing an contrarily well-dressed man wearing a bargain tie. Blech! It doesn't amount if he is cutting a $1,000 clothing or replica shoes,if he has a cheap, attenuate tie, the absolute ensemble looks bad!One of my admired ties is from gucci replica of Paris. These are elegant. Made of the finest cottony and hand-stitched, they accomplish about any suit attending fabulous!Unfortunately, these are aswell decumbent to
replica watches counterfeiting. When you are accepting ready to absorb $150 – $200 on a tie that should endure you years, the endure affair you wish to do is inadvertently acquirement a fake. This commodity will call how to atom a affected dior replica tie. There are two identifiers on the aback of the tie. The aboriginal is a characterization that will consistently appearance a horseman and carriage. The additional is a Hermes Logo that is alloyed into the tie. Many imitations will accept a patch sewn on in its place.Be careful! On a lighter bolt blooming or figural tie, you will not see"Hermes-Paris" beneath the horse and carriage; however, you will see them on Heavy Cottony Lourde and Figural "H" ties. Unless you can calmly atom the louis vuitton replica differences amid the two, be accurate in using this as the sole anecdotic characteristic.
