#NAPS Crochet Baby Blanket

Naps2

The cutest and trendiest baby gift of the year! Hashtag NAPS! Because naps are needed and loved by all, especially your sweet little bundles of joy :) I made this one for a mom friend who is expecting a baby girl (after having two boys) so she requested PINK! Caron Simply Soft in baby pink paired with the charcoal grey was a perfect combo and the yarn is incredibly silky and smooth. This graphgan is made up of SC stitches (except for the border) so it’s great for when you need to multi-task (like start new netflix series while crocheting) and it’s actually very simple and repetitive. The only time you need to follow a graph is when you are making the letters and that only accounts for 21 rows of the entire project.

Where can you find this adorable blanket pattern you ask? The #NAPS Crochet Baby Blanket is one of 8 FREE patterns in the new Yarnspirations Modern Nursery Lookbook. If you missed my post yesterday you need to check it out HERE. Take a peak at all the adorable baby patterns featured in the ebook.

It helps to carry your yarn through as you are crocheting. That way you don’t need to fasten off and join a new color with each change.

For the border, I decided to finish with a scallop stitch. Skip on stitch, 4 DC all in next stitch, skip a stitch, join with slip stitch to next, skip a stitch, 4 DC all in next stitch, skip a stitch, join with slip stitch, and repeat. Make your slip stitch + 4 DC + slip stitch all together in each corner.

Hi what the the back look like. I have the worst time making the “graft part” tidy.

    This is a beautiful blanket.
