It feels like summer! As we step into June, we’re kicking off the season with a Beach House square for our House Blanket Crochet-Along. You can almost feel the palm trees swaying and the sand beneath your toes as you crochet your way to a tropical escape.
With six squares completed, we’re officially halfway through the year and halfway through creating the blanket! It’s exciting to see the design come together.
For this Beach House square, I’m using Red Heart Super Saver in the following colors: Minty (for the background), Buff (for the sand), Cafe Latte and Spring Green (for the palm tree), Jade (for the roof and door), Cornmeal (for the windows), and Red Heart With Love in Papaya for the house itself. If you’re looking to switch it up, Coral from the Super Saver line would also make a great alternative to Papaya but keep in mind that we used it in the camper van square for May.
Whether you’re following along or just starting, this square is sure to bring a sunny, beachy vibe to your blanket. I can’t wait to see your progress!
What is the House Blanket CAL?
Each month in 2025, I will be posting a House themed corner-to-corner crochet square. Each house will reflect the seasons and/or holidays! At the end of the year I will stitch all 12 of the house squares together to make a stunning blanket of happy homes.

Each square starts with a 25×25 pixel graph. I use the corner-to-corner technique to crochet the square and the finished size of the crocheted squares are approximately 17 x 17 inches.
If you are new to the Corner-to-Corner (C2C) Crochet technique, let me explain a little bit about it. You can take a pixel graph and turn it into a crocheted piece. By starting in one corner of the graph (the lower right hand is most common place to start), you will crochet diagonally in rows until you get to the other corner. One pixel square = a chain 2 + 3 HDC stitches. Please note that I am using HDC stitches for the C2C instead of DC.
