I made a new version of my popular crochet bunny cups! These are Mini Crochet Bunny Baskets that are self-closing!! They work in all one piece and after you have filled it with candy, the ears loop together to close the top! Bernat Softee Chunky is the perfect yarn for this project because it’s sturdy and soft and comes in pretty pastels. Each mini bunny holds a plastic egg perfectly (fill it will candy or non-candy treats) or fill it with some pre-wrapped chocolates! This quick and easy Easter project is great for gift giving since you can make a whole bunch of them for a classroom, office, neighbors, teachers, friends, and more!
If you don’t have Bernat Softee Chunky yarn, you can use another bulky weight yarn or hold together two strands of worsted weight yarn (like Red Heart Super Saver or Bernat Super Value). You can make about 3 baskets with each ball of Bernat Softee Chunky! You can shop all the colors HERE on Yarnspirations.com

Round 10: SC along the edges of ear, 3 SC on top of ear, and SC down the other side of ear, slip stitch along the edge of the basket until you get to the next ear and SC around the second ear, slip stitch in remaining stitches.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.
The Bunny Baskets stand up easily on their own and look adorable with ear flopped down or with the ears looped together to close the top!
If you are nervous about the safety eyes or don’t like the way they pop through the inside of the bunny basket, you can take a strand of black yarn and stitch on some eyes and a bit of pink yarn to stitch on a nose. OR leave the bunny baskets blank!
You can purchase a large pack of safety eyes and noses from Amazon. Just be sure to match up the right plastic backings to the right size eyes. I messed up in my video and didn’t grab the right ones (multiple sizes will come with the purchase). If you don’t hear or feel the safety eyes/nose snap when you put the backing on, it is not secure.
