We’re cruising into Square 4 of the Winter Activities Crochet Along and this one is giving all the cool, laid-back winter vibes… say hello to the Snowboard & Goggles Square!
Now I know what you might be thinking… snowboarding in April?
But hear me out—this is peak spring riding season! Warmer temps, softer snow, and those sunny bluebird days on the mountain. It might be the best time to be out there.
And if you’re like me and not hitting the slopes, we can still bring those winter vibes right into our crochet.
This square features a simple snowboard appliqué with boot straps and a pair of goggles with a textured strap for a little extra dimension.

I kept the colors neutral with Red Heart Super Saver in Oatmeal and Black, but this is a great one to customize! Try bright neon boards, pastels for a spring look, or even your favorite team/ski resort colors.
Winter Activities Crochet-Along
Our Winter Activities Crochet-Along is a 12-month project filled with cozy winter themes, ice sports, and snowy fun. Each appliqué can stand on its own — or be turned into a full blanket as we go.
If you’re joining me for the Winter Activities Crochet-Along, you can find the links to all the patterns as they are posted mont by month as well as the Easy Double Crochet Granny Squares on the

Putting It All Together
Attach your snowboard and goggles to your 10 x 10 crochet square (I’m using my Easy Double Crochet Solid Granny Square).
You can:
- Stitch everything down securely
- Or leave small sections loose for a little dimension (I love this look for the straps!)
