8 Round Easy Crochet Snowflake

May 8, 2026

Let it snow!
Even here in Arizona, I’m always dreaming of a little winter magic… and I heard some of my friends in Colorado got a surprise snowfall this week! That inspired me to finish up this delicate and detailed Snowflake Square for our Winter Activities Crochet-Along.

This is Square 5 of the CAL, and I have a feeling it’s going to be a favorite! The intricate snowflake design looks impressive, but it’s made in just 8 rounds, making it a fun and relaxing project you can complete in no time.

Whether you’re following along with the blanket or just looking for a beautiful winter appliqué, this snowflake is perfect for holiday projects, ornaments, gift toppers, and more!

I’ve created a full step-by-step video tutorial to walk you through each round of the snowflake on my Repeat Crafter Me YouTube Channel.

Winter Activities Crochet-Along

Our Winter Activities Crochet-Along is a 12-month project filled with cozy winter themes, ice sports, and snowy fun. Each appliqué can stand on its own — or be turned into a full blanket as we go.

If you’re joining me for the Winter Activities Crochet-Along, you can find the links to all the patterns as they are posted mont by month as well as the Easy Double Crochet Granny Squares on the
